ASUS GeForce GTX Titan listed
For several days it is rumoured that Nvidia will launch GeForce GTX Titan, later this month, which is based on second generation Kepler GK110 core.
The same core is used in parallel accelerators, Tesla K20X and Tesla K20. It is also evident from the 3DMark 11 test that GeForce GTX Titan will be in market soon.
Accordingly, rumours suggest that GeForce GTX Titan will feature a total of 2,688 CUDA cores.
It is much impressive as the current flagship called GeForce GTX 690 includes only 3,072 cores, but these are split between two GPUs with 1,536 CUDA cores each. The GeForce GTX Titan, by contrast, is a single-GPU design.
Pricing and availability of ASUS GeForce GTX Titan
Surprising note is that the online ProShop has published the specifications and price of ASUS GeForce GTX Titan video card. It has claimed that the graphic card will be equipped with 6GB of GDDR5 memory and will be priced at 900 euros.
The most interesting news is that ASUS GeForce GTX Titan is listed to be available for the price of 7.276,00 kr. It means that, the card will be available for €845 or $1135. So it is likely that the price has not got much inflated.
Though ProShop has published the news only for a few seconds, the news has got a good reach and it is said that the card will be available from February 18. It is notable that the mentioned release date coincides with the rumored release date on GeForce GTX Titan.
Features of ASUS GeForce GTX Titan
Asus GeForce GTX Titan is said to include following specifications:
- 6GB GDDR5 memory
- support for PCI Express 3.0
- 2 x DVI ports, a HDMI port and a DisplayPort
- supports a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1650 pixels. But so far we have seen monitors with 1600 pixels only (vertically) and this is the first time to see a resolution of 1650 pixels.
However nothing is confirmed still and some say that this is a strategy used by ProShop for self-marketing.
